THE RE-ENTRY OPTION

Unless explicity prohibited in the event schedule, any "No-Rebuy" tournament can have a member-requested vote to for a "Re-Entry" option. Any re-entry option must be voted on before the tournament begins.
As players draw for seats, the director should discreetly ask individuals if they would be “for” or “against” a re-entry option. This avoids a table vote where one or more members may feel uncomfortable as the minority. You must be present or prepaid to vote. Prepaid members are responsible for indicating their nay vote at the time the pre-payment is made. (Because it takes just one nay vote to reject a re-entry option, an indifferent or yes vote with pre-paid entry is not required.)
If the director does not individually poll players or put a re-entry option to a table vote before the start of a tournament, or if no players request that a vote be taken, then the tournament will be run as scheduled (with no rebuys and no re-entry option).
If members vote in favor of a re-entry option, they must also establish the re-entry options at the start of the tournament, before any cards are dealt.
(a) The number of re-entries allowed per player (usually one, but can be a specified number or unlimited).
(b) How long re-entries will be allowed. The entry period for a no rebuy tournament is scheduled to end 30 minutes from start time, but members may extend that entry period through the first break, or 70 minutes from start time.
Without specifying (a) and (b) above, then the default re-entry option is for one re-entry per player for the first hour.
We try to provide one or two no rebuy tournaments for poker purists. The re-entry option on no rebuy tournaments adds more variety to the mix, it is different, albeit slightly. Pure poker (no rebuys) and real poker (no rebuys and no addons) are what we play every night... after the first hour. The scheduled no rebuy tournaments are like that from the start. And it is a different game because of that.
Some members don’t care. A bigger prize pool is okay if the donkeys want to contribute more. They like a variety of formats and a change of pace is nice, so either way they adjust their game accordingly.
Some members dislike rebuy tournaments (or anything resembling a rebuy). Play is looser and a table can quickly become a donkfest with silly one-out chasers and maniac betting and someone obtaining a massive chip lead with that kind of luckbox play.
