Player of the Month (PotM) Points System

Earn +1 point for every tournament you play in.
Earn +1 point for every player you outlast in a tournament.
Earn +1 point for every full 20 minutes of ring game play.

Bonus points! Earn 1 point for every $10 tipped on all tournament payouts (up to 20% max win). Also, double points are earned in both tournaments and ring games on a special day of the week each month. That special day is whatever the last day of the month is, so if it is a Thursday, then all Thursdays in the current month will earn double points. It also makes for an exciting last day of the month in the points race!

Effective December 2011 per General Meeting approval:

Earn +10 points for every tournament you win.
Earn +10 points weekly for the most ring game time (Mon-Sun).

PotM Payouts

4th Place

The remaining $150 goes towards the ToC series: 100 JacKa$h is put into the monthly Tournament of Champions, and the remaining 50 ($50x3=$150)is put into the Quarterly Invitational tournament.

Tournament of Champions (Monthly Invitational)

All individual tournament winners plus the Top 21 PotM points leaders are invited to the monthly Tournament of Champions.

This special tournament is usually held at 3:00 pm on the Second Sunday of each month.

All winners will be notified that they have qualified for the ToC.

With the exception of prepaid participants, players have until the end of the second level to claim their seat before their stack is removed from the table.

Late entry will not be allowed.

No Rebuys No Re-Entry Single $20 Addon

The ToC is a Winner Take All tournament (chops allowed).

Participants in the ToC and Quarterly events do not receive any bonus chips (voted effective 2/1/12). This includes earlybird bonuses for the 11am tournament or cash game play the night before, there are no prepaid bonuses, there are no in seat bonuses, there are no bonus chips for how you finished in the PotM race.

ToC events that fall on a Double Points day will score double points for the monthly PotM but to remain consistent for the quarterly invitational, only single points will be awarded for the ToC winners when adding up Quarterly points.

If another tournament is played later in the same day, no bonus chips are awarded for playing in a ToC invitational event as it is an exclusive event.

Notes: Some months will be inherently higher because the double point days land on larger, more popular tournament nights. Those are the months to get your score highlighted in yellow as the all time record holder. In January 2012, we added +10 points for winning a tournament and to counterbalance, +10 points for the most ring game time logged each week.

If players agree to chop a tournament prize pool, the Place and Points will be determined by chip counts at the time of the chop, not by prize pool payouts.

Negotiations and decisions to chop the prize pool must take place between hands. The only discussion regarding chopping the pot that players should have while a hand in play is to unanimously agree to have the dealer pause between hands so they may talk about chopping. The tournament clock does not stop for negotiations and the decision to chop must be unanimous.
